ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE

When we think of Venice, our imagination wanders among gondolas, canals, alleys, and of course, Piazza San Marco! But Venice is much more. To experience the spirit of the most famous city in the world,

Maison Boutique has chosen alternative activities for you to live the true Venetian spirit!

SCALA CONTARINI DEL BOVOLO

We recommend that you visit this spiral staircase, partly hidden in the San Marco district near Campo Manin. The place is one of Venice's hidden gems. It is a cylindrical tower of 26 meters in height and 80 helical steps that offers a unique view of the domes of St. Mark's Basilica.

LIBRERIA ACQUA ALTA

Don't miss out on Venice's most singular bookstore, where books are arranged inside genuine gondolas and bathtubs. Entrance is free of charge.

PALAZZO TETTA

One of the most beautiful and unique spots in Venice is a rare lagoon house that is surrounded by water on three sides. It can be found in the Castello district and offers a picturesque photo opportunity from the Confalezi Bridge.

SAN TROVASO SQUARE

The San Trovaso square is one of the oldest and most famous shipyards in Venice, as well as one of the few workshops still in operation. You can visit it by booking a 30-minute tour to learn about the characteristics of gondolas and the different techniques used in their construction.

PIER LUIGI PENZO STADIUM

For football fans, the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium is the second oldest stadium in Italy and one of the most unique stadiums in the world, directly overlooking the Venetian lagoon. The Penzo Stadium is located on the island of Sant'Elena, adjacent to the venues of the Venice Biennale. The stadium is accessible on foot or by waterbus.

MARIANO FORTUNY'S ARTISTIC FABRICS FACTORY

Hidden in the shadow of the Molino Stucky, within a former red brick convent called San Biagio, lies a secret garden that gives access to the workshops where Mariano Fortuny's patented machinery is still in use. These spaces, hidden from view by large curtains, are the secret heart of the textile maison that is now the last factory in operation in Venice. Here, the public can see materials, designs, fine fabrics, and fashion accessories on display. To safeguard the secret processing techniques developed by Mariano Fortuny, visitors are not allowed inside the factory. However, the showroom is open to the public on weekdays, and the factory gardens can be visited by appointment.
