SECRET GARDENS IN VENICE

Venice has more than 500 gardens, charming places rich in history. Maison Boutique has selected for you the most beautiful and lesser-known gardens among tourists.

ORTI E CHIOSTRI DI SAN FRANCISCO DELLA VIGNA

The ancient gardens cultivated by the Franciscan Friars who have long inhabited the original convent in the area still remain today. These green spaces are now managed by the Province of the Minor Friars of Sant'Antonio, and the predominant crop is the vineyard, as suggested by the name of the church itself. The gardens of this convent undoubtedly represent a secret and silent oasis that is well worth a visit.

I GIARDINI REALI

These gardens, dedicated to the then viceroy of Italy, Eugenio di Beauharnais, were created by the French and are spectacular, featuring plants from all over Europe. They are connected to the Castello Gardens, which are also known as the Napoleon Gardens.

IL GIARDINO DI PALAZZO MOROSINI DEL GIARDIN

One of the most hidden gardens in Venice is located not far from the busy Strada Nuova, and none of the passers-by are able to see it.
The palace next to it was built by the Erizzo family in the 16th century, and its façade was decorated with frescoes by Paolo Veronese (now lost). In the 17th century, the palace passed to the Morosini family, and the garden was so famous that that branch of the family took the name 'dal Giardin'.

THE BORGES LABYRINTH

On the island of San Giorgio is located one of the most beautiful parks in Italy. Created as a tribute to the great Argentine writer 25 years after his death, the labyrinth covers an area of 2,300 square meters, with over three thousand boxwood plants about 90 cm tall.
